Annual General Meeting
The Fort Rouge Child Care Annual General Meeting will be in spring 2024, please check back for updates.
The AGM will be in person in the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church at 525 Wardlaw Ave in the sanctuary. Please make sure you come in through the entrance on Wardlaw St.

Who we are
For more than 50 years, Fort Rouge Child Care has been providing preschool and school age care that exceeds parents’ and caregivers’ expectations. We have members of our staff who have been with us for more than twenty years. We have children who have grown up in our care, become adults and then sent their children to us. We call them our grandchildren! We care about each and every child who comes through our door.
We know that children learn best through play and exploration. We make sure every child in our care has access to materials and opportunities that encourage cognitive as well as social development. We encourage freedom of movement and choices in a free-flowing environment. It is our mission to provide quality child care which meets or exceeds the province of Manitoba’s regulations.

What makes us different
We foster creativity
We believe every child is an artist. We have a longtime and continuing partnership with Art City, who bring us arts and crafts, sports, and music. We offer ukelele lessons, yoga and dancing activities. All of these activities and lessons are offered as part of our programming at no extra charge to parents.
We care about nutrition
We provide two healthy snacks per day that align with Canada’s food guide. We require children to bring a packed lunch from home. On Fridays, we provide a spaghetti lunch for an additional cost of $12 per month.
We are flexible
If your child requires transportation to any area school including Gladstone School and École Lavérendrye, a Fort Rouge Child Care staff member will walk them to school or to the bus and pick them up at the end of the school day.
